This initiative aims to strengthen scientific and technological capabilities across OIC member states through intensive training in advanced research methodologies and laboratory techniques.<\/p>\n<p>The program, which spans two weeks, brings together 15 participants from diverse OIC countries including Cameroon, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uganda, Kazakhstan, Sudan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, and Turkiye. The training focuses on areas such as medical sciences, analytical chemistry, and biotechnology, with an emphasis on practical skills in modern scientific instrumentation and research techniques. The inaugural ceremony took place at HUCM in Changsha, featuring distinguished speakers such as Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of OIC-COMSTECH, and representatives from HUCM, including Prof. Dr. Wei Wang and Dr. Aiguo Dai.<\/p>\n<p>In his address, Prof. Dr. Iqbal Choudhary underscored the importance of the program as both a capacity-building platform and a conduit for technology transfer and intercultural exchange. He highlighted that the selected participants serve as ambassadors of their nations and the broader vision of COMSTECH, emphasizing the potential for these skills to bring tangible benefits to health systems and research institutions in their respective countries. Dr. Choudhary praised HUCM\u2019s leadership and expressed optimism about the impact of this collaborative effort.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Aiguo Dai showcased HUCM\u2019s pioneering role in traditional Chinese medicine, noting that the university is among China\u2019s earliest institutions to host international students in this field, with a global network of TCM centers. He described HUCM as both a symbol of regional heritage and an international academic bridge committed to fostering talent, industry cooperation, and cross-border collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Dr. Wei Wang highlighted the alignment of the training program with China\u2019s \u201cBelt and Road\u201d initiative, emphasizing its role in promoting global cooperation in traditional medicine. He celebrated the diverse group of scholars from the Islamic world and the shared goal of advancing innovation in natural medicines and research.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the program, participants are gaining practical experience in cutting-edge laboratory techniques, including LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR, FTIR, and other sophisticated analytical tools.
