The complaint was originally filed by the Drug Inspector of Potohar Town, Rawalpindi.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3800 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.peakpoint.pk\/en\/media\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-07-01-at-10.36.39-AM-185x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"185\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.peakpoint.pk\/en\/media\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-07-01-at-10.36.39-AM-185x300.jpeg 185w, https:\/\/www.peakpoint.pk\/en\/media\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-07-01-at-10.36.39-AM-630x1024.jpeg 630w, https:\/\/www.peakpoint.pk\/en\/media\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-07-01-at-10.36.39-AM.jpeg 720w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 185px) 100vw, 185px\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"731\" data-end=\"1307\">According to the judgment dated June 30, 2025, Anees Iqbal was convicted under Section 23(1)(a)(vii) and sentenced to seven years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 40 million. In case of non-payment of the fine, he will face an additional 18 months of simple imprisonment. He was further convicted under Sections 23(1)(c) and 23(1)(i) for selling seized drugs without a license or warranty and sentenced to an additional three years of rigorous imprisonment and Rs 500,000 in fines. Failure to pay the latter fine will result in another six months of simple imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1309\" data-end=\"1593\">The court directed the Superintendent of Central Jail Adyala, Rawalpindi, to take custody of the convict and ensure his detention for the duration of his sentence.
