Government Boys High School Hanna Urak, severely damaged in the devastating floods of 2022, has now been successfully reconstructed, opening its doors brighter, safer, and better-equipped than ever before. The new school building and protective flood barriers represent a promising new chapter for hundreds of students’ education and well-being.<\/p>\n
The catastrophic flooding left GBHS Hanna Urak unsafe and unusable for students and teachers alike, significantly disrupting local education. Recognizing the urgent need for reconstruction and flood protection, a comprehensive and resilient solution was swiftly devised and implemented.<\/p>\n
The reconstruction initiative was greatly supported by the dedicated visit and proactive efforts of Ms. Inga Afanasieva and the BHCIP team. Under their guidance, a strategic, safe, and efficient reconstruction plan was developed, ensuring that future floods no longer threaten students’ safety or education.<\/p>\n
Central to this achievement was the construction of specialized flood protection infrastructure, carefully designed to defend the school campus and prevent future disasters. Additionally, a new state-of-the-art two-story school facility now occupies a safer zone, featuring modern classrooms, laboratories, administrative offices, play areas, and other educational amenities.<\/p>\n
The successful completion of this project was made possible by the unwavering dedication and determined efforts of the Project Management Unit (PMU) team. In particular, the Development Section, led by Engineer Fareed Ullah Khan, played a pivotal role in turning this essential reconstruction project into a tangible reality.<\/p>\n
