Members discussed key initiatives aimed at preserving, restoring, and developing Mazar-e-Quaid and its surrounding areas, reaffirming their collective commitment to preserving its national heritage and cultural significance.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, after which Chairman Aurangzeb Khan Khichi warmly welcomed esteemed members and emphasized the national importance of Quaid-i-Azam\u2019s Mausoleum. Honorable participants included Senator Irfan-ul-Haq Siddiqui, Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Secretary of the National Heritage and Culture Division, Mr. Asad Rehman Gilani, and Senior Joint Secretary Mr. Sabino Sikander Jalal. Also present were Accountant General Sindh Mr. Mehmood Amir, along with board members Mr. Abid Saleem Qureshi, Mr. Fahim Iqbal Siddiqui, Mr. Ali Akbar Gujjar, and Mr. Inamullah Shaikh. On a special invitation extended by the Federal Minister, Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary of the National Heritage &#038; Culture Division, also participated.<\/p>\n<p>The board deliberated extensively on pivotal agenda points, notably the proposed relocation of the historic chandelier from the Mausoleum to the National Museum of Pakistan. Members reviewed in detail and subsequently approved annual budget estimates presented for the upkeep and maintenance of the Mausoleum complex. Additionally, participants discussed the necessity of provincial funding and the development and beautification of the peripheral area surrounding Mazar-e-Quaid. The renovation and revamping of the Aiwan-e-Nawadrat-e-Quaid-i-Azam (Quaid\u2019s Museum) also featured prominently in the discussions.<\/p>\n<p>Further deliberations were held regarding the repainting and restoration efforts for the mausoleum&#8217;s dome and ceiling, recruitment for vacant staff positions, and various employee welfare issues. Members comprehensively examined ongoing renovation and maintenance projects, ensuring continuous conservation and meticulous management of this national monument. Minister Aurangzeb Khan Khichi and Secretary Asad Rehman Gilani addressed the concerns raised by board members, offering clear and decisive directives to expedite the implementation of the discussed projects.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting concluded on a note of unified resolve, with all stakeholders reaffirming their commitment to protecting and promoting the historical and cultural significance of the Mazar-e-Quaid.
