Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain inaugurated a newly constructed Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) Business Centre located in Islamabad’s F-6 sector, marking a significant step towards the wellbeing of industrial workers and enhancing the organisation’s financial stability.<\/p>\n
The inauguration was attended by senior WWF officials, including Secretary WWF Zulfiqar Ahmed, who warmly welcomed the federal minister and provided a comprehensive briefing regarding the project’s objectives, benefits, construction details, and future initiatives.<\/p>\n
Addressing participants at the inaugural ceremony, Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain congratulated the WWF management and their entire team for successfully completing the project on time. Highlighting the importance of the initiative, he stated, “This project is clear evidence that sincere efforts, clear vision, and effective leadership within government institutions can make public service and financial independence both achievable.”<\/p>\n
Minister Hussain emphasised the government’s resolve to allocate income generated by the newly operational business centre directly towards key welfare schemes, including education, healthcare, housing, and other essential facilities aimed at improving the quality of life for labourers and their families.<\/p>\n
The minister particularly appreciated WWF Secretary Zulfiqar Ahmed’s dedicated leadership and guidance, observing that under his supervision, WWF is steadily progressing and notably serving the working class.<\/p>\n
During his briefing, Secretary Zulfiqar Ahmed informed the audience that the project was completed with complete transparency, high standards, and within its scheduled timeframe. He further revealed that the business centre has significant financial viability, predicting it will fully recover its initial investment within just eleven months of operations.<\/p>\n
Expressing confidence in ongoing initiatives, Secretary Ahmed outlined WWF’s future objectives, emphasising that the Fund is on course to become a profitable organisation by 2030, delivering substantial benefits directly to industrial workers and their dependents.<\/p>\n
In addition, Secretary Ahmed highlighted that, in alignment with the Government of Pakistan’s push towards digitisation, WWF has partnered with the Ministry of Information Technology to modernise its operations. Under this arrangement, labourers and their families will be able to conveniently check the status of their applications online with a single click, marking a substantial improvement in service delivery and accessibility.<\/p>\n
