The annual Urs celebration honoring Sajjada Nasheen of Ajmer Sharif, Sheikh-ul-Mashaikh Hazrat Khwaja Dewan Syed Aal Rasool Ali Khan and Sheikh-ul-Mashaikh Hazrat Dewan Syed Aal Mujtaba Ali Khan, was held at the Gulshan-e-Sultan-ul-Hind Ajmeri shrine located near Mohri Phatak, Fateh Jang Road, close to Islamabad Airport. The event drew participation from religious leaders, scholars, naat reciters, and people from all walks of life from across Pakistan.<\/p>\n
The Urs festivities commenced at 9 a.m. with the traditional chadar poshi (ceremonial placing of a cloth on the shrine). This was followed by Quran recitation, gatherings for devotional naat poetry, speeches, and a session of spiritual music (sama). Pir Syed Aal Wajeeh Moeeni Chishti, the heir and successor of Sajjada Nasheen of Ajmer Sharif, addressed attendees, emphasizing the spiritual significance of the occasion.<\/p>\n
Renowned television anchor and recipient of national and presidential awards, Ali Raza Arshad Suharwardi, also expressed his reverence and presented a tribute during the event. Prior to the midday (Zuhr) prayers, Sheikh-ul-Mashaikh Hazrat Khwaja Dewan Syed Aal Habib Ali Khan led a special prayer for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the prosperity of Pakistan.<\/p>\n
