The Capital Development Authority (CDA) of Islamabad set a new record by generating approximately Rs. 17.14 billion on the first day of its open commercial plot auction, highlighting robust investor confidence and marking a milestone achievement in the city’s real estate landscape. The auction, supervised personally by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, witnessed the sale of six commercial plots, far exceeding reserve values and kicking off a three-day event at the Jinnah Convention Centre.<\/p>\n
According to the CDA, the auction featured high-profile properties in sought-after areas, including the Blue Area (G-8), where Plot No. 13 was auctioned for about Rs. 7.24 billion, Plot No. 14 for approximately Rs. 4.16 billion, and Plot No. 12 for nearly Rs. 3.60 billion. In Sector I-14 Markaz, Plot No. 3-A fetched around Rs. 749 million, while Plot No. 3-B and Plot No. 10-A secured Rs. 709.3 million and Rs. 669.3 million respectively.<\/p>\n
The unprecedented sums raised reflect strong investor trust in CDA\u2019s transparent and merit-based auction process, as well as the confidence inspired by Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi and Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa\u2019s policies. The three-day auction, running through Thursday, offers a total of 46 plots and shop units from a range of commercial centers, including spaces in the prestigious Blue Area parking plaza.<\/p>\n
Investor turnout was described as overwhelming by CDA officials, who highlighted the extensive measures taken to ensure transparency and facilitate participants.
