Speaker of Pakistan\u2019s National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has paid tribute to the unwavering struggle and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people on the occasion of Kashmir\u2019s Accession to Pakistan Day, reaffirming Pakistan\u2019s steadfast support for their right to self-determination and calling upon the international community for a just and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue.<\/p>\n
In his special message, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq highlighted that the people of Kashmir have shown a deep and enduring commitment to Pakistan, as well as an unbreakable resolve in their decades-long freedom movement. Praising their sacrifices, he reminded that the adoption of the Accession to Pakistan resolution on 19th July 1947 by the leadership of Azad Jammu & Kashmir marked a historic moment, reflecting the collective aspiration of the Kashmiri people to join Pakistan. He underlined that this day remains a symbol of Kashmir\u2019s enduring bond with Pakistan.<\/p>\n
The Speaker condemned India\u2019s prolonged campaign of repression in the region, citing decades of human rights violations, extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and other atrocities that, he said, have failed to quell the Kashmiris\u2019 desire for freedom. Sadiq emphasized that even today, the third generation of Kashmiris remains resolute in their demand for the right to self-determination as enshrined in UN resolutions.<\/p>\n
Reiterating Pakistan\u2019s unwavering support, the Speaker described Kashmir as Pakistan\u2019s “jugular vein” and assured that Pakistan would continue to extend political, diplomatic, and moral support to the people of Kashmir. He called upon the international community to fulfil its responsibilities and play an effective role in ensuring a peaceful and just solution to the Kashmir dispute, which is essential for durable peace in the region.<\/p>\n
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq assured the Kashmiri people that the people and government of Pakistan stand beside them in their struggle for freedom and will continue to advocate for their cause on every international forum.
