The official ceremony took place at the e-Library &#038; Youth Centre in Nishtar Park Sports Complex, where provincial dignitaries and representatives from the blind cricket community gathered to witness the milestone event.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, Punjab\u2019s Divisional Sports Officer Lahore, Tanveer Abbas Shah, and Chairman of Pakistan Blind Cricket Council, Sultan Shah, formally signed and exchanged documents for the handover of the Blind Cricket Stadium at Rakh Jhedo. The ceremony was attended by the Secretary Sports Punjab, Muzaffar Khan Sial, Director General Sports Punjab, Khizra Afzal Chaudhry, the victorious Blind Cricket World Cup team, the women&#8217;s blind cricket team, and representatives from blind cricket teams of all regions, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Punjab\u2019s Provincial Minister for Sports, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, serving as the chief guest, hailed the completion of the stadium as a &#8220;historic milestone&#8221; for the province. He noted that the stadium was completed at a cost of Rs. 140 million and highlighted that even India does not have a comparable facility. Minister Khokhar extended an invitation to the Indian blind cricket team to visit Pakistan and play at the new venue, expressing hope that Pakistan would once again claim victory in future tournaments held there.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting the broader vision of the Punjab government, Khokhar stated that this achievement is the result of five years of dedicated effort, which he likened to fifty years\u2019 worth of progress. He praised the entire team at Sports Board Punjab for their commitment to promoting sports and ensuring that the Chief Minister\u2019s vision is translated into reality.<\/p>\n<p>The minister also shared plans for the upcoming inauguration of Punjab\u2019s International Squash Complex within the next two months, as well as the launch of the province\u2019s first baseball ground in the near future. He cited the completion of 88 sports projects within a year and a half as evidence of Punjab\u2019s leadership, noting that Pakistan is now the first country in Asia to have built a purpose-designed stadium for blind cricket.<\/p>\n<p>Khokhar underscored Punjab\u2019s commitment to sports development through various initiatives such as summer sports camps, Pink Games, Khelta Punjab Games, and neighborhood talent hunts. Additionally, a Sports Endowment Fund has been established to provide financial assistance to athletes.
