Over 48,000 young cricket players participated in a recently concluded talent hunt across Sindh, as part of the Prime Minister\u2019s Youth Programme (PMYP) sports initiative supported by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Lahore Qalandars. The trials, held in five major cities, aim to identify and nurture promising cricket talent across Pakistan.<\/p>\n
The Sindh leg of the Talent Hunt Youth Sports League trials took place in Karachi, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, and Sukkur. Organizers reported an outstanding response from youth, underscoring the widespread enthusiasm for cricket within the province.<\/p>\n
This cricket talent hunt is a central component of the government\u2019s strategy to empower young athletes by providing them with a structured, merit-based platform to demonstrate their skills. The initiative not only seeks to discover new talent but also provides professional guidance and support for their development.<\/p>\n
Following the successful completion in Sindh, the trials are now moving to Punjab, with activities beginning in Bahawalpur and scheduled to continue in Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Jhelum. These Punjab trials offer thousands of additional young athletes an equal opportunity to pursue a future in cricket.<\/p>\n
