He recounted the issuance of a Pakistani passport to Moroccan leader Ahmed Balafrej and noted how Pakistan\u2019s then Foreign Minister, Sir Zafarullah Khan, advocated for Morocco at the United Nations. Senator Sayed praised Morocco\u2019s rich civilizational heritage, referencing the University of Fez and explorer Ibn Battuta, and called for continued partnership to nurture the deep ties between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Sohail Mahmood emphasized Morocco\u2019s achievements under the leadership of King Mohammed VI. He described Morocco as a safe and welcoming country, with tourism accounting for 17.5 million visitors annually and comprising 14% of the GDP. Ambassador Khan advocated for expanding bilateral cooperation, noting Morocco\u2019s role as a continental leader with significant potential.<\/p>\n<p>Director Amina Khan reflected on the mutual trust and shared vision driving Pakistan-Morocco relations, pointing to significant opportunities in higher education, climate resilience, renewable energy, agriculture, and digital connectivity.
