Islamabad Food Authority Seizes Unsafe Meat During Inspection<\/p>\n
The Islamabad Food Authority has intensified its crackdown on unsafe meat in the city, seizing 160 kilograms of unfit meat during an inspection on Golra Road. According to officials, the meat was being transported in a vehicle that failed to meet health and safety standards.<\/p>\n
During the inspection, the Meat Safety Team found that the meat was emitting a foul odor and did not carry the required slaughterhouse stamp. The team immediately destroyed the unsafe meat on site to prevent it from reaching consumers.<\/p>\n
Dr. Tahira Siddique, Deputy Director of the Islamabad Food Authority, stated that the vehicle not only lacked proper certification but also violated storage and temperature protocols mandated by the authority’s Standard Operating Procedures. She emphasized the authority\u2019s commitment to eliminating the supply of unsafe meat in the city.<\/p>\n
