Senior representatives from the Canadian High Commission, including Global Engagement Officer Ms. Cindy Lam and Migration & Refugee Coordinator Ms. Roseline Lemire-Cadieux, visited SHARP\u2019s Reception Desk Center. They were given a comprehensive tour by SHARP CEO Mr. Mudassar Javed and met with the organization\u2019s program team, who shared insights into SHARP\u2019s operational structure and core services. The visit highlighted SHARP\u2019s dedication to providing efficient and dignified support to at-risk communities.<\/p>\n
During a strategic discussion, SHARP\u2019s leadership provided an overview of the challenges facing Afghan refugees, particularly the growing risks of human trafficking, forced labor, and other forms of exploitation. The group reviewed the current phase of the International Framework for Refugee Protection (IFRP) and identified areas where operational gaps remain.<\/p>\n
Both sides agreed on the importance of strengthening legal aid, offering psychosocial support, and expanding evidence-based advocacy. The meeting also addressed the need for greater technical cooperation, joint advocacy initiatives, and resource mobilization to provide sustainable and dignified solutions for Afghan refugees.<\/p>\n
