The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), in collaboration with the Government of Pakistan and the Sindh Government, have launched a new initiative to support the recovery and resilience of communities in Dadu district, which suffered extensive damage during the 2022 floods. This program aims to enhance agricultural productivity and water availability for over 19,000 residents.<\/p>\n
Key components of the project include the rehabilitation of farmland and irrigation systems that were damaged by the flooding. The initiative also features the installation of solar-powered community water supply schemes, designed to provide a reliable source of water and reduce reliance on traditional energy sources.<\/p>\n
In addition to physical infrastructure, the program focuses on capacity building by offering training to farmers, water user associations, and government partners.
