The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has taken a major step toward strengthening its regulatory framework by organizing a training session focused on the implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. The event gathered more than 100 officers from DRAP and Islamabad Capital Territory, aiming to enhance their understanding of international quality standards in regulatory practices.<\/p>\n
During the session, participants engaged in an in-depth, clause-by-clause review of ISO 9001:2015, with discussions centered on how these global standards can be applied to Pakistan\u2019s national regulatory system. The objective was to ensure that local regulatory processes align with internationally accepted benchmarks for quality and efficiency.<\/p>\n
The training was led by Umer Habib, Lead Auditor and Trainer from TUV Austria, who shared his expertise on adopting ISO 9001:2015 within government operations. His practical insights highlighted ways to integrate quality management principles into the daily work of regulatory authorities.<\/p>\n
Adding to the program, a Leadership Theatre session was conducted by Adnan Azam, a well-known motivational speaker. His address encouraged participants to view leadership and commitment to quality as essential drivers of change within the organization.<\/p>\n
