The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) recently organized a pre-departure orientation in Islamabad for the 2025 cohort of Hubert H. Humphrey Program fellows. The session brought together nine accomplished professionals from different regions of Pakistan as they prepare for a year of academic and professional enrichment in the United States.<\/p>\n
The Hubert H. Humphrey Program, funded by the U.S. Department of State, is designed for mid-career professionals who wish to expand their expertise through non-degree study and hands-on experience with U.S.-based organizations. This year\u2019s Pakistani fellows were selected from diverse sectors, including law and human rights, public health policy, substance abuse treatment, and economic development.<\/p>\n
During the orientation, participants received guidance from prominent officials such as Lisa Swenarski, Minister Counselor for Public Diplomacy at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, and Dr. Peter Moran, Executive Director of USEFP. They briefed the fellows on the program\u2019s objectives, strategies for maximizing their learning experiences, and practical insights into living and studying in the United States.
