Currently, the Punjab government allocates between PKR 10 to 15 million per Dar-ul-Aman annually. However, the study recommends that an estimated PKR 2 billion is required to meet quality standards and offer complete services to those seeking help. This discrepancy points to a substantial gap in resources, limiting the province’s ability to fully address the needs of survivors.<\/p>\n
The findings were published in the newly launched Gender-Based Violence Costing Study by UNFPA Pakistan in collaboration with the Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department, Punjab government. The research was supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office under the AWAZ II initiative and carried out by the University of Galway.<\/p>\n
