Minister Kamal highlighted that the Ministry of Health is working in close cooperation with the National Disaster Management Authority and provincial governments to coordinate a timely and effective relief effort. He stressed the importance of extending medical facilities to flood victims as a top priority and reaffirmed the government\u2019s commitment to stand by impacted families throughout the crisis.<\/p>\n
The Ministry has already dispatched a first consignment of medical supplies to the flood-affected regions. The shipment includes 250,000 doses of pentavalent vaccine, 150,000 doses of measles and rubella vaccine, 291,500 syringes, and 3,000 safety boxes. Additional supplies sent to the region consist of 30,000 malaria rapid diagnostic test kits, 60,000 primaquine tablets for malaria treatment, and 10,000 specialized mosquito nets to help prevent disease outbreaks.<\/p>\n
Health authorities report that all relevant institutions remain on high alert and are coordinating efforts to manage the ongoing emergency in partnership with provincial officials.
