UN Women Pakistan, in collaboration with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), organized a Digital Startup Roundtable in Multan, Punjab, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders to discuss women’s role in shaping Pakistan\u2019s digital landscape. The event provided a platform for policymakers, tech innovators, private sector leaders, development partners, and aspiring young women entrepreneurs to share insights and strategies for advancing gender inclusion in the country\u2019s digital transformation.<\/p>\n
During the roundtable, participants highlighted the vital contributions women are making to technological innovation and discussed policies and initiatives to support female-led ventures. The importance of collaboration among the public and private sectors was emphasized, with a particular focus on creating an ecosystem that encourages women\u2019s entrepreneurship in technology.<\/p>\n
Challenges facing women in Pakistan\u2019s digital economy were also addressed, including limited access to finance, digital skills gaps, insufficient market linkages, and persistent societal barriers.
