DC Pledges Support for Special Education in Chakwal
Deputy Commissioner Chakwal Sarah Hayat carried out a surprise visit to the Maryam Nawaz School for Children – Centre of Excellence in tehsil Kallar Kahar, accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Kallar Kahar Muhammad Afzal. During the visit she inspected classrooms, observed teaching activities, checked cleanliness and reviewed administrative arrangements to assess day-to-day operations at the special education centre.
Ms. Hayat interacted directly with students, posed academic questions and praised their responses, underlining the importance of inclusive learning environments. She highlighted the Punjab government’s initiative to establish special education institutions at the tehsil level so that differently-abled children can access quality education close to home.
The deputy commissioner lauded the abilities and talents of students enrolled in special education centres across Chakwal and Talagang and assured that the district administration will extend all possible support to address challenges faced by these institutions. Her commitment aims to ensure that special education facilities receive the attention and resources needed for students to pursue learning with confidence and focus.
