Advancing SCO education ties with Beijing schools
On December 6, 2025, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization hosted a meeting at its Secretariat in Beijing with Xui Zihuei, Head of the Education Commission of Chaoyang District, to discuss strengthening SCO education cooperation.
The Chinese delegation outlined work carried out to develop school education across the district, with particular attention paid to training programmes for children of employees of foreign diplomatic missions and international organisations accredited in Beijing. Officials emphasised practical steps taken to support these students within local schools.
Interlocutors exchanged views on initiatives aimed at developing the creative potential of students and explored prospects for deeper cooperation within the SCO framework in the field of education and broader humanitarian relations. The discussions sought to identify collaborative approaches that could enhance learning opportunities and creative development among pupils.
A group of schoolchildren who visited the Organisation’s headquarters viewed video materials about its activities, giving young visitors a direct look at the SCO’s work and the educational themes under discussion. The meeting underscored a shared interest in advancing SCO education ties and in fostering practical exchanges between institutions.
