National Laptop Scheme Empowers Bahria Students

Bahria University Islamabad Campus hosted a laptop distribution ceremony under the National Laptop Scheme Phase IV, with Vice Admiral Abid Hameed HI(M), the Honourable Rector, attending as the chief guest alongside senior dignitaries, faculty and students.

The National Laptop Scheme, implemented as part of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program and executed by the Higher Education Commission, targets high-achieving students enrolled in public sector higher education institutions across Pakistan to improve access to essential computing tools.

In an increasingly digital and AI-driven academic environment, personal computing devices are critical for research, innovation and advanced learning. Under this phase, 1,426 laptops have been allocated for Bahria University students across all BU campuses to support coursework, projects and scholarly work.

The ceremony highlighted the practical impact of the National Laptop Scheme on student preparedness and academic opportunity, with attendees expressing appreciation for a program that continues to empower youth and widen access to modern educational resources.
