Attock Campus Adds Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra
The Sub-Campus Attock of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) officially opened Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra in a ceremony led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, with deans, directors, faculty, administrative officials and a large number of students in attendance. The inauguration of Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra marks a significant step in strengthening campus life and meeting the spiritual needs of the university community.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman highlighted the role of places of worship in nurturing moral values, spiritual well-being and character building among students. He said the establishment of Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra is part of a broader commitment to provide holistic facilities that complement academic programs and support student development.
On his visit to the Attock Sub-Campus the Vice Chancellor conducted a thorough review of existing facilities and ongoing development projects, expressing satisfaction with progress to date. He instructed the campus administration to ensure timely provision of necessary services and resources so that students can learn and grow in a conducive environment.
Director Attock Campus Dr. Rifat Hayat thanked the Vice Chancellor and the university staff who contributed to completing the mosque project and outlined plans for further academic expansion. He emphasized upcoming efforts to enhance research facilities and student services, reaffirming the campus goal of becoming a centre of excellence aligned with PMAS-AAUR’s mission.
By adding Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra to its facilities, the Attock campus aims to foster an environment where academic pursuit and ethical formation advance together, supporting the educational needs of the region through continuous improvement and effective use of resources.
