Special Traffic Plan Enforced in Bannu City Markets Ahead of Eid, Several Entry Points Declared No-Entry

Bannu : In view of increased shopping during Ramadan and ahead of Eid, a special traffic plan has been enforced in the inner city of Bannu. SP Traffic Ehsanuddin Khan and Assistant Commissioner Allah Nawaz Khan, along with members of the traders’ community and transporters, announced the plan during a press briefing at the Bannu Press Club.
They stated that due to the holy month of Ramadan and the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, the markets inside Bannu city witness a significant increase in shoppers, which may disrupt the smooth flow of traffic. To facilitate the public and ensure better traffic management, the Traffic Warden Police Bannu have prepared a comprehensive traffic plan.
According to the plan, the entry of Qingqi rickshaws, Zaranj vehicles, motorcars, and other vehicles into the inner city markets of Bannu has been temporarily restricted in order to provide convenience for pedestrians and shoppers and to prevent traffic congestion in the markets.
In this regard, No-Entry points have been enforced at several entrances including Lakki Gate, Preeti Gate, Qasaban Gate, Bank Gali, Phoori Gate, Faqir Hashim Chowk, Qadri Chairman Gali, and Tochi Point.
Authorities have requested citizens to park their vehicles at designated parking areas, including Judicial Complex, Malik Naimat Mandi, Jail Park (north side), Circular Road (north and south), Stadium Road, outside Milad Park, Mall Mandi, Mazri Mandi, Murghi Mandi, and Government High School No. 2 Bannu City.
The SP Traffic and the Assistant Commissioner appealed to the public to cooperate and strictly follow the traffic plan so that traffic flow in the markets remains smooth during Ramadan and citizens can carry out their shopping peacefully and conveniently.
