According to him, a teacher never truly retires because knowledge, wisdom and experience continue to serve society beyond formal service. He urged universities to develop structured ways to involve retired professors, researchers and experienced administrative professionals in mentoring young faculty, guiding students, contributing to research and supporting academic planning.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar uz-Zaman said the retired employees remain an integral part of the PMAS AAUR family and will always be regarded as valuable assets of the university. He noted that the university’s achievements have been built on the tireless efforts, dedication and professionalism of its faculty and staff over the years.

He said such farewell ceremonies are a modest expression of gratitude for the services rendered by retiring employees, and that they reflect the university’s respect for their loyalty, hard work and commitment.

During the ceremony, the retired professors, officers and employees shared memories of their service at PMAS AAUR and thanked the university administration for organizing a memorable farewell. At the conclusion, commemorative shields were presented to all retiring faculty members, administrative staff and employees in recognition of their services.
