Women University Mardan Holds 6th ASRB Meeting

MARDAN: Women University Mardan convened the 6th meeting of its Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) on July 22, 2026, under the chairpersonship of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Razia Sultana.

The meeting focused on strengthening postgraduate research standards and reviewing academic matters in line with the university’s research regulations.

According to the university, the Board reviewed and approved research proposals and other academic matters of 32 postgraduate students. These included four students from the Department of Mathematics, four from the Department of Education and 24 from the Department of Islamic Studies.

The Board examined the submitted cases and stressed adherence to quality research practices and academic excellence.

The meeting was coordinated by Ms Haleema Ikram, Director ASRB. It was attended by external experts, including Dr Rubi Bilal of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar; Prof Dr Eatzaz Ahmad of Iqra University, Islamabad, who joined online; Dr Mohammad Gulraiz Akhter of Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad; Prof Dr Farhat Jabeen of Government College University, Faisalabad; and Dr Muhammad Afzal Bhatti of the University of Wah, who also joined online.

Their expert opinions and recommendations contributed to the Board’s deliberations.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Razia Sultana reiterated the university’s commitment to promoting quality research, academic integrity and innovation. She appreciated the contributions of the Board members and said rigorous academic evaluation was essential for producing impactful research and maintaining excellence in higher education.
