Two Critically Injured in Electrical Blast During Solar System Work in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Two men were critically injured after an alleged electrical blast took place during maintenance work on a solar system at a house near Butt Chowk on National Park Road in Gulistan Colony’s Abdul Ghaffar Street.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, three emergency vehicles were dispatched to the spot after the incident was reported. Rescue teams administered first aid to the injured and later shifted them to Holy Family Hospital in critical condition.

Rescue 1122 said 45-year-old Kifayatullah received burn injuries on nearly 65 percent of his body, while 30-year-old Mubeen suffered burns on around 35 percent of his body. The condition of both injured men was stated to be critical.

Rescue authorities urged citizens to observe proper safety measures while carrying out maintenance of solar systems and electrical equipment to prevent similar incidents.
