RWU Observes Kashmir Solidarity Day with Rally and Art

Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) held a series of events to show solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir. The observance aimed to draw attention to the continuing human rights violations in the region following the Indian government’s revocation of Article 370, which removed Kashmir’s special status and escalated unrest and oppression.
Faculty members, students, and the Directorate of Student Affairs from RWU took part in a dedicated rally at the Rawalpindi Arts Council. Through their participation, they called for global awareness of the hardships faced by Kashmiris and urged the international community to uphold their right to self-determination.
Alongside the rally, the Rawalpindi Arts Council held an art exhibition focusing on the Kashmiri struggle. The exhibition featured visual artwork illustrating themes of resistance, suffering, resilience, and hope, offering a powerful testament to the voices and experiences of those living under occupation.
