Ufone 4G Partners for Polio Awareness Across Pakistan

The Pakistan Polio Eradication Initiative has partnered with Ufone 4G to expand the reach of vital polio awareness messages to families throughout the country, particularly targeting hard-to-reach communities. This collaboration aims to boost public health efforts and combat misinformation, supporting the nationwide drive to eliminate polio.
During the official agreement signing at the National Emergency Operations Centre in Islamabad, Ayesha Raza Farooq, Prime Minister’s Focal Person for Polio Eradication, praised the partnership as a significant step in using telecommunications technology to advance the polio campaign. She emphasized the importance of collective national effort in eradicating the disease and expressed hopes that similar collaborations, especially in telecom, technology, and media sectors, would follow.
Saif Uddin Khan, Group Vice President for Brands and Communication at PTCL & Ufone 4G, expressed pride in contributing to the national cause. He stated that Ufone 4G’s extensive network and technological resources will be used to support public health by delivering timely information to families, ultimately helping to secure a polio-free future for the next generation.
Through this initiative, polio awareness messages will be disseminated to families—especially those in underserved areas—during every vaccination campaign. The partnership aims to ensure that accurate information reaches communities, encouraging participation in vaccination efforts and reinforcing the campaign to eradicate polio from Pakistan.
