Medical Devices Inauguration Preparations Reviewed by Health Minister

Federal Minister for National Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, met with the CEO of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) and his team to discuss preparations for an upcoming inauguration ceremony related to medical devices. During the meeting, the DRAP team provided a comprehensive briefing on the arrangements and objectives of the event.

Secretary of Health, Waqar-ul-Hasan, and the Additional Secretary for Health were also present at the meeting. The discussions focused on ensuring the successful launch of new medical devices, addressing regulatory procedures, and highlighting the significance of local innovation in the healthcare sector.

The participants reviewed key organizational aspects and emphasized the importance of compliance with international health standards. The Minister lauded DRAP’s efforts in advancing the regulation of medical devices and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving healthcare quality and accessibility.
