Youth Urged to Serve Pakistan with Education, Character and Discipline

RAWALPINDI: Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi Prof Dr Iqbal Mahmood has said that freedom is a great blessing of Allah Almighty and, at the same time, a major national responsibility for every Pakistani.

In his message on Independence Day, the chairman said the nation must pay tribute to the unmatched sacrifices of its elders and play its due role for the progress, stability and prosperity of Pakistan.

Prof Dr Iqbal Mahmood said the younger generation was the country’s precious asset. He said that by adopting knowledge, character, hard work and discipline, the youth could take Pakistan to new stages of development.

He added that educational institutions had the responsibility to provide quality education to students, along with awareness of patriotism, national duty and positive character.

On the occasion of Independence Day celebrations, Prof Dr Iqbal Mahmood hoisted the national flag at the Board Complex and later cut a cake to mark the day. Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan was also present on the occasion.

Special prayers were offered for the safety, progress, stability and prosperity of Pakistan.
