Police Detain Former Senator Chaudhry Tanveer in High-Profile Homicide Case
Former Senator of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Chaudhry Tanveer, was arrested by police on Monday after his pre-arrest bail application was dismissed in connection with the high-profile murder case of former Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Chaudhry Adnan.
Tanveer was taken into custody from the premises of the court following the decision of Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan, who rejected his request for anticipatory bail. The court ruling came during proceedings related to the ongoing murder investigation.
Chaudhry Tanveer is a nominated accused in the murder case of Chaudhry Adnan, a former MPA who was shot dead on February 12, 2025, near Kutchery Chowk. The murder case is registered at the Sadiqabad Police Station under FIRs initiated by the victim’s family.
