Youth Advocate Leads at UNGA Mobilisation Lab

At the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Zunaira, a 15-year-old from Balochistan, is taking part in the UNICEF Youth Advocates Mobilisation Lab 2025 as a Youth Advocate representing Pakistan.

Selected as one of just 12 young people from around the world, she is using the Lab to strengthen her advocacy skills, share her story and exchange ideas with peers on practical ways to build a better future for children everywhere. The Mobilisation Lab brings young leaders together to learn, collaborate and amplify child-focused solutions on the global stage.

For communities in Balochistan and across Pakistan, Zunaira’s participation underscores the importance of youth voices in shaping policy and programmes. As a Youth Advocate she aims to bring new insights and energy back to her community, reinforcing why young leaders must be at the centre of efforts to deliver results for every child.
