The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has signed a contract with the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) to develop a customized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The initiative aims to digitize and automate traditional processes within TEVTA, significantly reducing manual workloads, enhancing operational efficiency, and streamlining workflows through real-time data analytics.
The signing ceremony was jointly chaired by PITB Director General (DG) IT-Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi and TEVTA DG Procurement Colonel Rao Rashid. Representing their respective organizations, TEVTA DG Procurement Colonel Rao Rashid and PITB Director of Development and Procurement (D&P) Atta ur Rehman formally signed the contract, marking the official start of collaboration between the two entities.
Also present at the ceremony were PITB Additional Director General (ADG) of Software Engineering Omar Suleman, Director IT Solutions Shahid Akram Khan, and TEVTA’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Mr. Naeem. These senior officials reiterated their commitment to leveraging advanced technologies to enhance public sector performance, efficiency, transparency, and service delivery.
Following the contract signing, TEVTA DG Procurement Colonel Rao Rashid visited the PITB Data Center. During this tour, he was briefed on the facility’s robust infrastructure, advanced technology solutions, and operational capabilities, which further underlined the expertise and capacity of PITB to support digitization initiatives in different government departments.
The ERP solution designed by PITB has already shown positive results and transformative outcomes in various government institutions where it is currently deployed. The system provides reliable real-time data and analytics, empowering governmental organizations to make informed strategic decisions and deliver better services to the public. Through this agreement, TEVTA is expected to benefit from these innovative technological solutions, ultimately ensuring enhanced efficiency and optimized resource management.
