PK-CERT Kaspersky Team Up to Strengthen Cybersecurity
PK-CERT has entered a partnership with cybersecurity firm Kaspersky to bolster national cyber defenses and support Pakistan’s ongoing digital transformation. The agreement focuses on enhancing capabilities through joint programs that address emerging threats and build local resilience.
Under the terms of the collaboration, PK-CERT and Kaspersky will roll out training and public awareness initiatives aimed at strengthening skills across government, critical infrastructure operators and other stakeholders. The partners will also ensure professional exchange of threat intelligence to improve detection and response to cyber incidents.
The director general of National CERT described the collaboration with Kaspersky as an important step toward reinforcing the country’s cyber resilience. He highlighted the need to tackle cyber espionage, data leaks, attacks on critical installations and coordinated misinformation campaigns as priorities for the partnership.
Kaspersky emphasized that robust cybersecurity is essential to protect digital development, and said cooperation with PK-CERT represents a significant milestone in supporting a secure digital transition in Pakistan. The firm underlined its commitment to sharing expertise and tools that strengthen incident prevention and mitigation.
By combining capacity building, awareness raising and threat intelligence sharing, the PK-CERT Kaspersky partnership aims to improve Pakistan’s readiness against evolving cyber threats and to safeguard critical services and data as the country advances its digital agenda.
