Students Engage with RCCI to Strengthen Industry Linkages
Students from Quaid-i-Azam University visited the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry as part of efforts to strengthen industry linkages and encourage greater youth engagement with the business community.
The industrial visit was organized by the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC-QAU) in collaboration with the Quaidian Business Catalyst Society. Khalid Farooq Qazi, Senior Vice President of RCCI, together with members of the Executive Committee, welcomed the students and outlined the chamber’s current and upcoming events, its policy advocacy work, and ongoing industrial and budgetary reform priorities.
Students viewed the RCCI documentary and attended an informative session by SMEDA focused on entrepreneurship and startup development. An interactive question-and-answer segment gave attendees the chance to discuss business formation, market entry and the practical steps needed to translate academic learning into enterprise activity, reinforcing the importance of industry linkages.
The program concluded with a guided tour of several RCCI departments, giving students direct exposure to chamber operations and networking opportunities that complement classroom study with real-world insight into commerce and industry in the Rawalpindi region.
