Pak Algeria Agencies Move to Boost Investment Ties
Ambassador of Algeria to Pakistan Dr. Ibrahim Ramani met with Mr. Jamil Ahmed Qureshi, Secretary General of the Special Council for Investment Facilitation chaired by the Prime Minister, to discuss ways to expand economic cooperation and explore new Pakistan Algeria investment opportunities.
The ambassador briefed the council on the large potential of the Algerian economy and the abundant opportunities for partnership and investment available in Algeria. The discussion highlighted mutual interest in creating clearer channels for investors from both countries and in identifying practical steps to promote joint projects.
Mr. Jamil Ahmed Qureshi praised the strength and diversity of the Algerian economy, noting its position as the third largest in Africa, and welcomed the ambassador’s proposal to deepen institutional ties. He underlined the value of cooperation between the Special Council for Investment Facilitation and the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion to mobilise resources and encourage private sector engagement.
Both sides agreed to pursue closer coordination to strengthen partnership and investment links, with a focus on making Pakistan Algeria investment more accessible and mutually beneficial. The engagement signals a renewed emphasis on bilateral economic collaboration and structured support for investors considering cross‑border opportunities.
