Students Mobilize Flood Aid at Home Economics University

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Home Economics praised faculty members and hundreds of students who organized a flood relief drive, collecting clothing, bedding, food and everyday essentials for communities affected by the 2025 floods.

All items were gathered on campus and handed over through Akhuwat, reaching flood-hit settlements across the region. Organizers expressed gratitude for the swift response and the solidarity shown by the university community.

The students’ spirit of sacrifice was widely noted, with many volunteering time and resources and some pledging to donate Rs10 per day for one year to support ongoing relief work. Such gestures underline the practical impact of youth-led flood relief efforts.

This collective action reflects a tradition of community support and civic responsibility at the University of Home Economics, demonstrating how campus initiatives can mobilize relief quickly and effectively for those still recovering from the 2025 floods.
