ICCI Welcomes Major Azerbaijani Investment in Pakistan

The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has warmly welcomed Azerbaijan’s announcement to invest $2 billion in Pakistan, hailing it as a historic milestone that will significantly strengthen bilateral economic ties.
In a joint statement, ICCI President Nasir Mansoor Qureshi, Senior Vice President Abdul Rehman Siddiqui, and Vice President Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry described the recently signed agreement between Pakistan and Azerbaijan as an important achievement in the ongoing efforts to boost trade and collaboration between the two brotherly countries.
The ICCI officials noted that Azerbaijan’s substantial investment in Pakistan signals growing investor confidence and will undoubtedly provide a boost to Pakistan’s economic activities. They emphasized that this infusion of funds will create numerous opportunities for local businesses, help stimulate the domestic economy, and potentially attract further foreign investment.
Expressing optimism regarding future cooperation, the ICCI leadership highlighted that Azerbaijan’s investment represents more than just financial support—it is a reflection of deep-rooted brotherly relations and shared economic interests. They further stressed that the initiative would play a pivotal role in connecting the private sectors and industries of both nations, thus solidifying the economic and diplomatic bonds between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
