Kazakhstan Embassy Islamabad Strengthens Gujranwala Ties

Ambassador Y. Kistafin met with representatives of Gujranwala’s business community in Islamabad to discuss deepening Kazakhstan–Pakistan economic ties, report on recent high-level talks, and agree on steps to expand cooperation across transport, agriculture, IT and textiles, including a planned visit by a Gujranwala delegation to Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kistafin outlined the outcomes of an official Kazakh delegation’s visit to Islamabad led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs M. Nurtleu. He described the agreements reached during that visit to develop bilateral cooperation and strengthen commercial relations between the two countries.

A key area of focus discussed was the establishment of international transport corridors to improve connectivity and facilitate trade. Participants emphasized that better transport links would support increased trade flows and make regional supply chains more efficient.

The ambassador also presented Kazakhstan’s medium-term economic plans and highlighted growing trade turnover between the two nations. Business representatives from both sides expressed strong interest in expanding collaboration in several priority sectors, including agriculture, information technology and the textile industry.

To build on the discussions, both sides agreed to organize a visit by a delegation from Gujranwala to Kazakhstan to explore concrete partnership opportunities, forge business links and coordinate next steps for joint projects.
