Turkey ambassador meeting with Pakistan health minister

Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal met with the Turkish ambassador to discuss deepening bilateral cooperation in the health sector, with both sides pledging to explore investment, technology transfer, and educational partnerships to modernize Pakistan’s health system and boost local capacity in vaccine production and health tourism.
During the meeting, the two officials reviewed areas of mutual interest and emphasized the long-standing, brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkey. Both sides underscored the importance of strengthening economic and health-sector links to support shared goals.
A key focus was promoting investment and facilitating technology transfer to make health services more efficient and modern. The ministers discussed ways to adopt advanced medical technologies and management practices that could enhance service delivery across Pakistan’s healthcare system.
Participants also explored opportunities to develop health tourism in Pakistan, aiming to attract regional patients and create new revenue streams. Discussions included strategies to support domestic vaccine production, reduce reliance on imports, and build local manufacturing capacity.
Educational collaboration was highlighted as another priority. The meeting addressed expanding exchanges and training programs for doctors and nurses, fostering professional development and closer academic ties between medical institutions in both countries.
Minister Mustafa Kamal noted that Pakistan can benefit significantly from Turkey’s experience in various health initiatives, and he reiterated the government’s commitment to comprehensive health-sector reforms underway under the prime minister’s direction. The Turkish ambassador praised those reforms and expressed support for continued cooperation to strengthen Pakistan’s healthcare infrastructure.
