CCTV cameras worth millions of rupees stolen From Gaddafi Stadium

In a major security breach, thieves have stolen eight CCTV cameras worth millions of rupees from the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan.
These cameras were installed to monitor the Pakistan Super League matches being held in the city, and their theft has raised concerns about the security arrangements for the tournament.
The stolen items include not only the cameras but also generator batteries and fibre cables for closed-circuit television (CCTV). The total value of the stolen goods is estimated to be worth millions of rupees.
Two cases have already been registered against the thieves at Gulberg police station, and an investigation is underway.
The Punjab government had been in a contentious debate with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over security expenses but the matter was settled down yesterday.
As per media reports, the Punjab government had demanded Rs450 million for security funds, but this demand had since been lowered to Rs250 million.
The PCB had threatened to shift the Lahore and Rawalpindi matches to Karachi if the Punjab government continues to insist on the higher amount.
