Russia Pakistan Drill Strengthens Anti Terror Ties
About 200 servicemen from Russia and Pakistan took part in Druzhba 2025, a joint Russia Pakistan drill held within the bounds of Russia’s Southern Military District. During the exercise both sides staged practical operations aimed at countering international terrorism, showcasing coordination in live scenarios.
Russian participants included special operation forces from the Southern Military District, units noted for their extensive experience in anti-terror operations. Pakistan was represented by detachments from the Pakistan Army’s special forces, working alongside their Russian counterparts in mission-focused training.
At the close of the exercise commanders recognised personnel who demonstrated notable performance and, in line with tradition, military officers from both countries exchanged commemorative gifts to mark Druzhba 2025. The drills emphasised practical interoperability and shared tactics against asymmetric threats.
The Russia Pakistan drill is intended to strengthen and deepen bilateral military cooperation. Conducted alternately on Russian and Pakistani soil since 2016, these exercises aim to build trust, improve joint operational readiness and enhance the professional exchange between special forces of both nations.
