MSC Micol Anchors at South Asia Pakistan Terminal
MSC Micol, one of the world’s largest and most modern container ships, has docked at the South Asia Pakistan Terminal, marking a major milestone in Pakistan’s maritime history. The 400 metre vessel with a 24,000 TEU capacity took berth successfully, underscoring the terminal’s ability to handle ultra-large container ships.
Muhammad Junaid Anwar Choudhry welcomed the arrival and described the call of MSC Micol as a historic moment for Pakistan. The federal minister for maritime affairs highlighted the significance of hosting a vessel of this scale for national trade and port development.
South Asia Pakistan Terminal managed the complex berthing and handling operations for MSC Micol with efficiency, demonstrating operational readiness and modern terminal capabilities.
