Driving a Welfare Partnership for Pakistan’s Poor
On 17 November 2025 in Islamabad, Ahmed Raza Tayyab, General Secretary of Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust, met with Senator Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt, Managing Director of Pakistan Maal, to discuss collaborative measures to support low-income families across the country. The meeting centered on building a sustained welfare partnership that can respond to urgent needs and strengthen outreach to vulnerable communities.
Both leaders emphasized coordination between their organisations to improve the delivery of assistance and to identify areas where joint action can have the greatest immediate impact. Conversations covered practical steps to align relief activities, share resources, and engage local networks so that help reaches those most in need efficiently.
The discussion underlined a shared commitment to expand outreach and monitor results as part of the proposed welfare partnership. Officials said they will continue consultations to refine operational plans and ensure that charitable efforts complement existing support systems for disadvantaged families throughout Pakistan.
