Strengthening Exam Security in Rawalpindi

On 21 November 2025 Controller Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan carried out emergency visits to several examination centres and associated marking centres under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi to strengthen exam security and monitoring.

The inspections covered Government Associate College Dhok Kala Khan Rawalpindi, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Dhok Kashmiriyaan Rawalpindi, Government Boys High School Dhok Kashmiriyaan Rawalpindi and Government Graduate College for Boys Panwal Road Chakwal, along with their respective marking centres. During these visits he reviewed the functionality of CCTV cameras, overall security arrangements, the paper checking system and adherence to examination SOPs.

Tanveer Asghar Awan emphasized strict enforcement of the Government of Punjab’s zero tolerance policy, underlining that no candidate, exam staff or marking personnel will be permitted to breach SOPs. The controller said focused exam security measures and enhanced monitoring have produced notable results against the booti mafia, reducing malpractice and protecting the integrity of the assessment process.

He added that examination and marking centre staff are carrying out their duties in line with board directives and that candidates are being provided with orderly, transparent and conducive conditions to sit their exams. Special steps have been taken to maintain quality and prevent undue interference in marking centres to ensure that the evaluation process remains impartial.

Board spokesperson Arslan Ali Cheema stated that continued vigilance and robust exam security procedures will remain priorities as the board implements further measures to safeguard the examination system.
