Championing Child Rights Through Youth Dialogue
NCRC representatives took part in the Youth Development Association’s World Children’s Day event organized around the theme “My Day, My Rights”, creating a welcoming forum for children to speak about their experiences and expectations.
Mr. Pirbhu Lal Satyani, Member Sindh & Minorities, and Dr. Mehek Naeem, Member Punjab, represented the Commission and spent time engaging directly with community children, listening to their stories and encouraging open conversation about their rights.
Both members outlined the mandate of the Commission and stressed the centrality of child rights in policy and community action, underlining the need for meaningful child participation so that young voices shape decisions that affect their lives.
The event gave children a practical platform to share hopes and challenges while building awareness among parents and local stakeholders about the importance of protecting and promoting child rights across communities in Pakistan.
The Commission praised the Youth Development Association for organizing an impactful gathering that strengthens child participation and supports ongoing efforts to advance child rights at the grassroots level.
