The 11th Battle Axe Polo Cup 2025 at the Lahore Garrison Polo Grounds produced intense action on the fifth day as Master Paints/Sheikhoo stormed into the main final with a 10–8 victory over SQC Gold/Newage Cables. Sponsored by TCL, the tournament delivered competitive chukkas and high-quality polo that kept the large crowd engaged throughout the day.

SQC Gold/Newage Cables fought hard with Saqib Khan Khakwani scoring six goals and contributions from Shiraz Qureshi and Ali Kuli Khan, but Master Paints/Sheikhoo held their composure in the closing minutes to book their place in the final.
Earlier at the Cavalry Polo Field, FG/Din Polo delivered a commanding 12–6 victory over Peshawar Polo Club to reach the subsidiary final. Hamza Mawaz Khan led the charge with seven goals, supported by Muhammad Ali Malik with three and Manam Faisal with two. Peshawar showed glimpses of promise but could not contain FG/Din’s fast-paced attack.
The matches drew a lively attendance that included families and seasoned polo followers, and club circles were strengthened by the presence of Club Secretary Major (R) Babar Mehboob Awan. The energetic atmosphere reflected the local enthusiasm for polo and the importance of the Battle Axe Cup in Lahore’s sporting calendar.
With these results, the championship moves to a compelling finish: the main final will see Master Paints/Skywell face Master Paints/Sheikhoo for the title, while the subsidiary final will feature FG/Din Polo against Indus Polo. Anticipation is high as fans prepare for the concluding fixtures of this year’s Battle Axe Polo tournament.
