Kazakh Delegation Expands Trade Ties at FoodAg2025
Acting Director A.Taishikov and B.Akhmetov, Managing Director of QazTrade, led a 20-company Kazakh delegation to the international agricultural exhibition FoodAg2025 in Karachi on November 25-26, 2025, marking a focused push to deepen Kazakh trade engagement with Pakistan.
The exhibition brought together more than 300 Pakistani agricultural producers and over 800 trading companies from 80 countries, providing a broad platform for Kazakhstan’s agricultural, IT, construction and transport and logistics firms to showcase capabilities and explore partnerships in the Pakistani market.
Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin met with delegation members to underline the potential for expanded economic cooperation, encourage active entry into Pakistan, and discuss concrete project opportunities. The meeting emphasized the importance of pragmatic steps to convert interest shown at the exhibition into lasting commercial ties.
Also present at the meeting was Ahmed Zafar, Chief Growth Officer of TCS, who outlined prospects for logistical support to facilitate import and export operations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan. His presentation addressed practical pathways for moving goods and strengthening supply chain links to support trade growth.
The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Pakistan supported direct negotiations with the leadership of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry, and arranged targeted B2B meetings with Pakistan’s business community to accelerate follow-up deals and collaboration.
The visit reinforced momentum for Kazakh trade expansion in Pakistan, highlighting logistical cooperation and sectoral match-making as key drivers for upcoming projects and market entry strategies.
