Advancing Women Protection in Punjab Through MoU
Punjab Women Protection Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Sheikh Ahmed Hassan School of Law at LUMS, marking a meaningful step forward in efforts for women’s protection, research, and progress. The agreement signals a coordinated approach to strengthen rights and safety measures across Punjab, with a clear direction toward a safer, more empowered province for every woman.
The collaboration will bring academic expertise together with institutional experience to generate research, inform policy, and support practical initiatives that enhance women protection. By combining legal scholarship and on-the-ground perspectives, the partnership aims to produce evidence-based recommendations and educational activities that can guide future protections and reforms.
The MoU underscores the local significance of aligning higher education and public institutions to respond to challenges faced by women across Punjab. Stakeholders expect the collaboration to advance women protection through joint studies, capacity building, and sustained engagement between the authority and the law school, reinforcing a shared commitment to progress and safety for women in the province.
